You’re Not Broken

If you’ve experienced trauma, you may notice:

  • Feeling constantly anxious or on edge
  • Feeling emotionally numb or disconnected
  • Being overwhelmed by feelings
  • Being stuck in repeating patterns you don’t fully understand
  • Feeling unsure how to trust others or yourself

These are not weaknesses.
They are protective responses where your nervous system is trying to protect you.

Therapy helps you understand these responses and gently create new safer ways of feeling, relating, and living.

How I Can Support You

Trauma therapy that meets you where you are

I am a humanistic integrative therapist offering trauma-informed therapy for people who have experienced:

  • Emotional trauma and PTSD
  • Childhood wounds
  • Anxiety and overwhelm
  • Life transitions, loss and identity changes
  • Relationship difficulties or attachment patterns

Together, we work to help you feel safer in your body, reconnect with yourself, and regain a sense of stability and trust, in a space where you can feel safe, heard, and supported.

My Approach to Trauma Healing

A gentle, integrative approach

Healing from trauma is not about “fixing” you — it’s about creating the right conditions for your nervous system to feel safe again.

I integrate different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs:

Talk therapy

A space to be heard, understood, and validated. A non-judgemental space where you are fully accepted.

Emotional processing

Safely exploring and releasing emotions and learning how to regulate them.

Body-based work

Trauma lives in the body — we work with awareness, sensations, grounding. Working with how trauma is held physically through movement, guided exercises, breathing, and visualisation.

Nature as co-therapist

Outdoor sessions to support regulation, perspective, calm and connection using objects in nature, the scenery, the weather, creativity, metaphor, movement, and our senses.

This flexible approach allows therapy to adapt to you, not the other way around.

Trauma and the Body

Understanding how trauma is stored in the body

Trauma isn’t just something we remember; it’s something the body experiences and holds onto.

Even though the mind tries to move on, the nervous system can remain in a constant state of protection.

That’s why trauma can manifest physically, emotionally, and relationally, often without a clear or conscious reason.

You might notice:

  • Feeling constantly on edge, anxious, or unable to relax
  • Feeling blocked, disconnected, or emotionally numb
  • Chest tightness, shallow breathing, or chronic tension
  • Difficulty sleeping or feeling truly rested
  • Intense emotional reactions that feel overwhelming or confusing
  • Relationship patterns that are difficult to change

These responses don’t mean there’s anything “wrong” with you.

They are intelligent and protective adaptations of your nervous system: ways your body has learned to keep you safe.

In therapy, we work to gently understand these patterns and create new, safer ways of being in the world.

How we work together

You can choose one or combine both, depending on what feels right for you.

Online therapy

A safe and familiar space where you can explore your experiences in a place you choose. There are people who cannot get to a green space or to a consulting room. Some people cannot get around easily, others don’t have time, while others prefer communicating online.

Outdoor therapy

Walk and talk sessions in nature can help regulate the nervous system and make it easier to open up, as movement and being in nature have a liberating effect on people, helping to alleviate anxiety and depression.

What Makes This Different

Trauma-informed and paced around your needs

  • No pressure to “talk about everything” before you’re ready
  • Focus on safety, trust, and nervous system regulation
  • Warm, human connection at the centre of the work
